What is a Dedicated Server?

A computer that is for the exclusive use of one organisation/person account. This type of system can accommodate multiple domain names, email addresses, databases and applications. Dedicated Web Servers are rack mounted with many other servers; housed in a Data Centre. The servers have the capacity of hosting hundreds of websites.
